Final Stretch
I honestly did not expect to be on the running this season. With no bullpen, my ace Grayson Rodriguez on the shelf, and the only real power hitter being Suarez, the best I hoped for was a 5th place finish.
Instead I'm in a dogfight with a super hot at exactly the right time Mookie squad. Damn near every streaming pitcher has been money, and his hitters are non stop mashing. I'm just trying to survive until they get cold again. The question is, will they ever get cold again?
Whatever happens I'm happy my team became competitive a year earlier. I hated trading away prospects; I really thought 2026 was going to be my year. I'm not Hooli though, and a ring only comes around once in a blue moon. I was truly tempted to see if I could pull it off with no bullpen. To lose the title by 1 or 2 points because of me being a hard head was too much for me to bear, so I unassed some talent to make a real run.
Aight gear up and lets enjoy the final 30 days of this beautiful game of ours!

Whelp, here is my concession speech. Mookie was like a Jedi Knight (or Peter North lol) he just kept coming. To those about to die, we salute you!
Hitters were red hot, every pitching stream was money, I had zero answers. My base stealers stopped stealing, my hitters stopped hitting, I lost about 10 points on my ratios, and my starting pitching got exposed.
Next season should be a great one before the loctout/strike unless the owners FINNALLY decide to open the books. The Stepping Razor plans to be competitive again. My achiless heel the bullpen is patched together. I only need 2 closers; the rest are nice ratio high K/9 guys. I'm not sold on the 2026 draft, that's why I had little problem trading those picks. I think I can squeeze one more season out of Salvi, and I'm anxious for the amonaly of Ford. A full season of Kurtz, Wilson, Neto, Marte, Cowser and the Miz will be exciting!

Good season all. I think I could have gotten there down the stretch if I could have just kept a little more than half my roster healthy. I'll be firing my training staff and going in a different direction next year.
Congrats Mookie. I wanted to take you down, but you proved the better team.

Thanks guys, this was wild and fun! After the last couple seasons of pitching chaos, I had to live in the trenches again this year, duct taping the rotation together with streaming starts and a prayer to the baseball gods. Somehow it held together for once… this league never makes it easy and somehow still manages to stress me out, which is crazy considering it’s a free league 
The trade market is now open again!
